In the
second week of the mid semester holidays (so about the 14th -21st
april) me, Andrea and some others are planning a trip down to the mighty inland
kaikouras. The peaks we are looking to climb are Mt Tapuae o Uenuku at 2885m
(making it the highest mountain
north of Mt Cook), Mt Alarm and Mt Mitre.
This trip
is only for those people that know what they are doing! We will be using ice
axes, crampons and I have been told that Mt Alarm might require a bit of
ropework. If you are not too sure you are up to it, talk to me. There are also 80 or so river crossings on the way to the hut...
If you have
any questions either reply to this post and I will get back to you as soon as
possible or flick me a email -
